AGREEMENT between Customer and SPQR Travel

The www.spqrtravel.com website ('Website') is provided to you, the customer, by SPQR Travel ('SPQR', 'we', 'us', 'our', 'the company'). THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ('Terms', 'Agreement') govern your use of the Website and all associated services. It is an implied term that, by using the Website and that by using any materials, products or services provided to you by the company, you agree to accept the Terms stated herein. If you do not agree to these Terms, you are not authorized to use the Website and should cease using the Website immediately.

These terms, which include our privacy statement, are a legal agreement between you and SPQR. This agreement supersedes any other agreements or understandings (oral or written), between you and us regarding matters herein. These Terms can only be modified SPQR. We reserve the right at any time to change these Terms, and to change, impose conditions on or discontinue any aspect or feature of the Website without notice. Failure by us to enforce these Terms does not constitute a waiver of such right. These Terms do not infringe upon your statutory or common law rights as a consumer.
We operate as an agent for independently owned and managed properties ('accommodation providers'). We are not part of the contract between you and the accommodation provider. There may be additional terms and conditions applicable to your contract with an accommodation provider which are not listed on the Website. In booking reservations through us, you agree to hold us blameless in making arrangements on your behalf, and any claim of damage, refund or credit after arrival shall be sought directly from the accommodation provider. We shall not become liable for any personal injury, property damage, accident, inconvenience or any other irregularity due to wrongful, negligent or arbitrary acts or omissions on the part of any accommodation provider whose name appears on your confirmation notice. However, please do notify us immediately if any problems or conflicts should arise with one of our accommodation providers and we will do our best to help you resolve them.

Our service is based on personal inspection of properties and information provided by accommodation providers. We work hard to ensure that the information pertaining to accommodations which we provide on our Website is correct; however, we cannot guarantee that all information is comprehensive and accurate. Any references to the condition of properties or services are statements of opinion and must not been interpreted as fact.

We aim to reply to accommodation availability requests within 24 hours; however, we cannot guarantee this timeline, as fluctuations in demand for our services, technical difficulties or other factors may impede our ability to respond to your inquiries within this time period.

The booking process begins when we receive your completed availability request form or an email describing your particular accommodation needs. Each new request will be assigned a unique booking reference number. Once your request has been received and processed, we will contact you by email to let you know whether your desired accommodation is available or to provide you with accommodation options for your consideration. The email will include your booking reference number and instructions as to how to proceed in order to confirm your booking. You must notify us of your intent to go ahead with the booking by email within a reasonable time period. The booking of accommodations is based on a first come, first served basis. If you decide to proceed with the booking, you will be asked to provide your personal information and credit card details, and provide your consent with respect to these Terms. Your booking is considered confirmed after we receive your payment and have sent you an Accommodation Voucher.

When you make a booking with us, you will be identified as the 'booking contact'. You will be responsible for all payments and for providing us with correct information when making a booking. You must be over 18 years old to make a booking with us and you must accept financial responsibility for all transactions made in your name. Booking modification or cancellation requests must be submitted by you directly, as we will not enter into any dealings with respect to your booking with any other party, including those with whom you will be travelling. We will notify you of any and all actions regarding your bookings via email.

To confirm your booking, you must provide a non-refundable deposit, ranging from 10% to 50% of the booking cost. The amount of the deposit required is provided on each accommodation description page of the Website. How and when you will be required to settle the remainder of your payment will vary depending on the independent policies of each accommodation provider. Payment details are noted on each accommodation description page.

Credit card and bank transfer/wire are the only methods of payment accepted by SPQR. If you decide to go ahead with a booking, we will ask you to provide you credit card details. You may provide us with the information using our online booking form, by telephone or via fax. For the mutual protection of both you, the customer, and SPQR, we do not accept credit card information by email.

Payments may be accepted by bank transfer upon request. When our office receives a copy of the bank transfer document by fax with the bank transfer reference number, you will receive a confirmation from SPQR Travel via e-mail. Please be aware that you will still need to provide us with your credit card details in order to confirm you booking. If you have paid by bank transfer, your credit card will not be charged unless cancellation or damage or lack of payment on funds owing occurs.


Additional costs not included in our booking cost may apply for heating, telephone, security deposit and other services. You must pay the accommodation provider directly for these additional costs. Additional fees not included in our booking fee will specified in the accommodation description page.


Once we have received your deposit or full payment, your booking will be considered confirmed and you will receive an Accommodation Voucher by email. You must print this voucher as it contains important information, including contact, location and payment information. The voucher must be shown to the accommodation provider upon check-in. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of payment, we kindly ask that you contact us by email or telephone to arrange for the information to be re-sent.

Once we have confirmed your booking, any modification or cancellation made prior to the pre-arranged arrival date must be made through SPQR by email. Modification or cancellation requests will only be considered valid if received by us by email. If any modifications are made to your booking, it then becomes a new booking and your payment will be subject to the applicable cancellation conditions specified in your original booking confirmation notice. If you abandon the property, your rights to any eventual refund or rebate is forfeit. Penalty payments cannot be transferred to other periods or other accommodations. You may consider purchasing travel insurance as a precautionary measure to cover any eventual financial loss due to unforeseen circumstances which may cause you to cancel.

In the unlikely event that an accommodation provider should have to modify a confirmed booking, we will advise you at the earliest date possible. If for any reason beyond our control we are unable to provide you with an accommodation which you have booked through us, we reserve the right to transfer you to a similar accommodation. Should the cost be more than that of the original booking, you will have to pay the difference or, otherwise, you may opt to cancel the booking without penalty. We will not be held liable for any obligations or claims by you in the event of modification or cancellation by accommodation providers.


The number of guests occupying an accommodation may under no circumstances exceed the number of persons specified at the time of booking. Accommodation providers reserve the right to refuse admittance if the number of guests arriving exceeds the number specified on the booking confirmation notice that we have issued to you.


We are not liable and shall not provide any refunds for events which are caused as a result of a Force Majeure event including but not limited to fire, flood, earthquake, hurricane, war, riot, political unrest, acts of terrorism, embargo, organized labour stoppage, acts of civil or military authorities, epidemics, quarantine, medical or customs regulations, closure of airports, or any other occurrences beyond our immediate control and which, despite all due care being taken, could not have been avoided.


Any and all complaints must be sent to us by email within 48 hours of the incident or problem occurring. This may help us to handle any problems that may arise more effectively. If you do not communicate your complaints to us using this procedure, we may be unable to act upon your complaints.


Unless otherwise stated, the intellectual property (copyright, trade marks, patents, design rights, etc) associated with the content, functionality and design of the www.spqrtravel.com website is either owned by or licensed to SPQR Travel and may not be reproduced, distributed, transmitted or otherwise used, except with the prior written permission of SPQR Travel. You may print individual pages of content on paper (but not photocopy them) only for the purposes of making use of our service but, otherwise, you may not modify, copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit or distribute, by any means or in any manner, any material or information on or downloaded from the website. This includes but is not limited to text, graphics, messages, code and/or software without our prior written consent. Furthermore, you are expressly prohibited from taking any action which may be seen to take unfair advantage of the reputation and goodwill of the website or company, or be interpreted as an infringement of any of the intellectual property rights owned by and/or licensed to SPQR Travel.

We provide you with information on www.spqrtravel.com free of charge and on the basis of no liability for the information given. Said information may contain errors and, periodically, may not be accessible by you, the user. Furthermore, the information provided on our Website is intended as information only and does not constitute advice.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England. If we should have to settle any disputes which may arise out of or in connection with these Terms, you, as users of the Website and associated services, must irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

We reserve the right to bar users from the Website on a permanent or temporary basis at our discretion. If you are banned from using our Website, you will be notified in writing and must not attempt to use our Website under any other name or through any other user once you have been barred from using the Website.
